As of NatureCraft: Terra Prime's nature of being a geo-political server, towny is the only plugin that will guard your item from being looted and your land griefed. You can create a town and invite your friends to join and develop together.
A town can be created in a place no too close to other towns (you will receive a warning if that is the case). Therefore, travel to some unclaimed land and type the command /t new \<name>
and start building your own town.
Note: Upon creation of your town, you will receive a 16*16*256 area (an entire chunk) around you as your town's home block and spawn point.
So now you have created your town and have a nice area that is protected from griefing and looting, now you will need to expand your town so that you can:
These are the detailed explanation of town mechanics including town blocks, town economies, etc.
There are different types of players in a towny system with different level of permissions to carry out towny related commands.
Noamds is the classification for players on the server who dont belong to a town. Those players cannot perform any towny related functions except /t new <name>
or /t join <name>
. Please note that /t join
will only work if the mayor of the town set the town to be publicly joinable without invitation.
Residents are the town members of different towns.
There are certain set of permissions that you will need to follow or set as a member of a town.
You will be capable of buying a plot that the mayor has set on sale so that the you can own the plot. You will be able to set your own permissions to your plot (i.e. only allow access for yourself and your friends, not everyone in the town).
Residents will have access to /resident
command that will output some detailed information about this resident.
